Is It Normal to Be Nervous About Day Camp?
I felt super anxious dropping my kid off at camp for the first time. He’s only five. Didn’t know if he’d get shy or bored or lost in the crowd. But I found a camp that had a clear check-in process, patient staff, and plenty of hands-on stuff to keep him busy. I’d searched for day camps for 5 year olds that weren’t too serious—just enough routine to keep kids calm and engaged. He made a friend the first day. Worth every penny.
