Concussion in Sports is an initiative founded by former professional rugby players Michael Cam, Gregory Smith, and Kyle Peters, who once played together in school. While Kyle emerged relatively unaffected, Michael struggled with depression, and Gregory continues to battle migraines, anxiety, and insomnia due to past concussions. Motivated by their experiences, the trio began a support network for athletes facing similar challenges. Over time, this evolved into a full-fledged organisation dedicated to helping players and sporting bodies better understand, manage, and prevent concussion-related issues. By bringing together lived experience and professional insight, Concussion in Sports offers education, advocacy, and practical support to improve long-term health outcomes for athletes at every level of competition.
