I am selling the old pc but every time i do a clean install, windows activates itself as soon as it is connected to the internet, this is on a local account without ever having signed into my microsoft account.
I am not sure how the microsoft activation servers work but could it not be an issue that this pc is using a digital license linked to my microsoft account, and the old pc showing just activated with digital license. So for some reason my old hardware is still recognised as having that
